I got it used and even then lost very little on selling it. They are a workhorse and the benchmark at the time. I certainly would not say it is flare prone. I got the Summilux ASPH. That was seven years ago. Any lens at all can be made to flare in some situations but I have never seen unintentional flare with that one for whatever that is worth. I like it a lot but of course all of the 50s can do great work. The summilux is a very complex design and from here at least that means a trip to Germany if it needs svce. Some people dislike that some examples can be quite firm to move the focus. I would say that whatever you pick it is best to try it for yourself first if you can.
