A 9o minute "chromium" tape was my standard those days. Stereo not mono.
Late 70's early 80's. I'd pay the extra couple of bucks for the chrome and
my portable tape FM player thing had a little tiny button setting for it
which I loved. The Leica of cassette tapes.
Certain classical recordings were available on chromium oxide tape in the
store. I had one or two.
And I had a chrome tape store bought of Al Di Meola. A jazz guitarist.
Also a Chet Atkins which came in the cassette player in my Mom's new
Ford Regal. Incredibly well recorded it was worth having on chromium.
Made me realize that some country music can be quite great.
