I have always found a foam Cleanser to work very well, Douglas. Available in
spray cans from www.maplin.co.uk although it isn't necessary to spray it all
over - a squirt in a dish, then applied using a cotton bud it does an
excellent job on (for example) white engravings on lenses which have
acquired a yellow-brown 'patina'. But Maplin only delivers to British Isles
- no doubt you could find something similar if need be.

Not aggressive on plastics, should you have any in need of cleaning.

Hi all,

Has anyone got their own special tricks, potions or panaceas for cleaning
camera bodies, lens barrels and the engraved numbers and letters on them?

Cheers
Douglas
