Subject: [Leica] LUG Yearbook future volunteers
From: dbirkey at hcjb.org (Duane Birkey)

I had volunteered to do it or to help with it as well... Hence the
discussion on the future direction of the yearbook (-1) that I would have
not otherwise started... (-2) which was in no way meant as a criticism of
Jim's effort (+1) or past editorial decisions about the book (+2) nor
meaning to imply in any way that Brian (+1) nor Geoff (+1) are incapable of
doing the project without my input.. Not sure if that is a +1 or -1
statement...

My offer to coordinate it (now or in the future) or help with it still
stands, (I'm proficient in InDesign) but I am not offended if I'm not asked
to... The book, after all, belongs to the LUG....

IMHO

Duane

I've heard both Brian and Geoff
volunteer to follow in Jim's footsteps
and continue the LUG Yearbook tradition.

Whichever and whomever takes on
this time consuming labor-of-love
earns the right to edit all aspects of the project
as they see fit... just as Jim did before them.

(I do like the idea of an affordable ebook possibility
simply because I've not been able to afford books in the past)
