Depending on the Model, they can fetch a decent price or be used for a good trade. Some here in the US have them rebuilt with state of the art cartridges, belts, sound dampening etc. with superb results. I trade my Thorens plus cash for a Rega P3 which i?m very, very happy with. Ended up popping for a Brio-R integrated amp and Ear headphone amp. Lovely sound either with headphones or through a pair of Klipsch Corner Horns. You can Google Thorens on Audio forums for more insights Cheers, Bob in Seattle.
