The A7 has an electronic first shutter and should be smooth. The concern is with the 36mp A7R, which does not has that electronic first shutter and may be getting a bit of shake from the fact that it first has to close the shutter, then re-open and shut again. Some say it's about 1/3 the shake of an SLR mirror slapping. If the model you tried was the 7AR, then that would be good and surprising news.
