The fourth is kept on an earlier version compatible with my Nikon slide scanner. I have the Mac Pro I use as a "main machine" and keep my archives on. I am not having problems with Mail (yet). The problem I do have is that iTunes no longer seems to synchronise my calendars when I do my daily sync to my iPhone. This is very inconvenient actually, and if it is because of Mavericks I may rebuild the computer from a pre-update backup.
