The thing about this Zeiss lens is, that while it may resolve better, I would not be using it as I wouldn't be carrying something like that around the way I do a Summilux Asph. Something that is bigger and weighs more than a 180/2.8 just gets used differently. I think this lens is aimed more at the video crowd than at still photographers.
