I wrote compact prime (as in small, fixed focal length) lenses, e.g. the size of the 55/1.8 and 35/2.8 FE lenses. At PhotoExpo, the CZ product manager gave the impression that 55/1.4 sized lenses were not in the cards for the FE mount. To use the 55/1.4 or any of the manual focus CZ lenses on FE mount bodies he suggested ordering the EOS (ZE) mount versions and adapting them to the A7 with the smart metabones adapter. The A7r + 55 + metabones set was floating around in Sony's stand but I did not get to try it. BTW, that's why I asked if anyone had used it. I found the 55/1.4 virtually impossible to focus on a digital Nikon screen, may cancel my pre-order and get the new 58/1.4 Nikkor instead. I was told that the next lens in this series will be an 85mm. The Sony A7/7r bodies were the most intresting new products I have seen for several years. Too bad the 7/7r don't have in body anti-shake, otherwise my order would have been placed already. If Nikon and Canon want to keep their market shares, they'll have to release small FF mirrorless bodies of their own.
