"This means the only difference between the Novoflex LEM/LER and the Leica R Adapter M is that the Leica-made adapter has a tripod foot and the Novoflex does not. Of course anything about build quality, the quality of the coding, or the solidity of the lens-adapter connection between the two products is purely conjecture until the Leica adapter ships and I can evaluate the two side-by-side." You want a tripod threaded foot? Get the Leica. Don't care, get either. Frank Filippone Red735i at verizon.net Reportedly the Leica ones are just starting to ship. I read too that Novoflex makes them as well (and the same Chinese company reportedly makes the Olympus and Leica branded EVF). Note that you need both the correct 6 BIT code and frame-line agreement (28-90) for the M to bring up the R lens manual setting menu. Liveview with LCD or EVF makes exact framing easy of course and focus peaking will work. There is no means of using auto selection of the magnified view of course since there is no focus cam but you can start it via the slightly awkward button on the front Cheers Geoff http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman On 7 October 2013 23:52, <afirkin at afirkin.com> wrote: > Tina, be sure they are the new version with coding.
