As you may know, infrared light focus on a slightly different plane than does visible light. Most quality lenses used to be manufactured with a tiny red line on the focusing or aperture ring, which indicated where one would adjust the lens after focusing with visible light. So after I used the AF, with its built in infrared capabilities to focus, I adjusted the lens to the place where I thought that such a tiny red line should be, I guess that I was off a bit, hence the "little' softness that you see in this image.
