When I first switched away from Leica I offered to resign from the LUG and was told very firmly that it was 'the spirit of Leica-shooting' which was essential rather than the gear itself. I think I have adequately proved over the intervening period that I shoot with the spirit of Leica but I am feeling increasingly unwelcome here. This stupidity needs a resolution, maybe a vote by all the true Leica shooters. In the meantime I will be enjoying my LUG gathering in Barcelona next week with no guilt, but whether I will still be a member here when I get back is another matter.
