Well as much as I would ADORE getting the Monochrom, I think the new M provides color (which Jane likes for her grandson!) and has 4 improvements that make it worthwhile over the M9 IMO: Increased dynamic range (this should not be undervalued based on the 12 stops I get with my PhaseOne) Larger files for cropping (and hopefully more information for BW conversion?) Higher ISO capability Better rangefinder accuracy out of the box An incredible shutter which, on the M9, really adds to camera shake when I press. Guess that's 5 :-) And I can't afford both...
