Of course this "peripheral" view
is much more circular/square
than
the 24 x 36 / ellipse

which is why most "panoramas"
feel fairly unnatural to me.

The 2:3 already stretches my "natural" visual experience;
though I truly do enjoy that particular stretch.

I also truly enjoy the square
