[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Ted, you certainly have a busy schedule for a man who blithly gave us the choice of TWO assignments for this week, and who HASN'T limited the number of photos that anybody can submit on the topics. Best of luck with the weddings. Personally, I have NO objection to you picking just one winner and commenting as to why you think it is the winner in your eyes. I don't think it is necessary to comment on every picture submitted. The LUG should be DAMNED happy to have a great photographer with your considerable skills and vast experience judging the entries submitted, and equally be very happy with your choice of winner. It's a personal choice for you and LUG should just accept it. If people are unhappy, they can choose not to enter. I consider that entries should be limited to one photo per LUG member, no comments submitted until the result is announced, and no criticism of the judge's choice be entertained. This might make it simpler to manage!!! If you are loath to make rules, I might suggest to the rest of the LUG that they only submit one photo per topic, rather than blizzard a raft of similar efforts at the hapless judge. At our age, all of us are surely capable of choosing our own best picture on each topic. Bear in mind, the sheer volume of both emails and pictures on the LUG sometimes makes it very difficult to look at everybody's photos, and cranking up the volume even further should be discouraged. These are my personal opinions and I'm equally sure that all of you have your own!! Other opinions, anybody????
