I may have to come up with a photo glossary glossary. A glossary of photo glossaries. On top of Apo and Asph we have: ACRO? Achromatic A term which describes a lens system which is corrected for chromatic aberration. (see Chromatic Aberration) ABER Aberration The inability of a lens to produce a perfect, sharp image, especially at the edge of the photo. (see Barrel distortion & Pincushion effect ) ASTIG Astigmatism One of Seidel's five aberrations. Astigmatism is an aberration that causes points to blur, degrading sharpness. It can be reduced but not eliminated by stopping down the lens. So that's only 5 big A's for your lens.
