John,

I tried the Canon with adapters and it was a not acceptible as far as I am 
concerned. Finders were way to dim and not manual focus acceptible, along 
with exposure problems.

I would suggest a Canon 5D mkI, good low asa results and do not need to 
modify R lenses as much (slip on adaptor or a Leitax over the top) as you do 
for Nikon....
