Thanks Dennis. Plenty to chew on there. I see from that link that two of my 
old Minolta flashes and my old SB28 Nikon have very low trigger voltages 
anyway. The down side of my Minolta 4000AF is it's massive and bigger than 
the camera! Now all I have to do is find out how to test the trigger voltage 
on the Sakar, but Google is my friend, and thanks to the NSA a very, very 
close friend...... :-)
