Nathan,

I also am looking for a light travel outfit. I was considering ordering the
Fuji EX-1 with the18-55 and the 35 1.4. What do you think of the 18-55 so
far as image quality?

Thx, Ken

Yes, but let me give you some additional perspective:

- the Fuji provides excellent image quality all the way to ISO 6400. This
may or may not be an issue for you--it is for me.
- I fully buy into your statements over the years that cameras work best
with their own lenses. The Fuji, however, is the first non-Leica camera on
which I have ENJOYED using my Leica M lenses
- and for travelling super-light, the Fuji with the 18-55mm zoom is just the
ticket. This is what I will be taking to Brussels next week.

Cheers,
Nathan

any measure it is a superior picture-taking machine compared to the M8 and
M9. But nothing fits in my hand like the M8 (and the various film Ms before
that).
