Again, the Nikon 50mm f1.4G is not a spectacular lens wide open either, none of the current crop of Canikons are. Stop down a bit, and the results will be much closer. Nothing to do with the sensor, it is all about the lenses. I actually would like someone to test the Fuji 35mm f1.4 (50mm equivalent) against the Leica 50mms, it would be interesting.
