[Leica] My last aftermarket battery just died

i do know there is a protection circuit in the DMR battery, seen it with my 
own eyes.

When I pulled (dead) Leica and third party batteries apart they were
identical internally apart from the brand of cells used.  The "additional
security" is a myth.
