The rangefinder is better for lenses up to about 90mm in the normal range, the EVF/LCD with LiveView are better with macro and tele lenses. I don't have any adapters yet (coming shortly, I hope) but I have been able to adapt some Viso lenses and strange macro lenses like Photars. It works quite well. Also, if you don't want to carry around a number of wideangle viewfinders, the EVF is an option.
