To expand on that printing large comment...
The sensor in your D600 is fine of course. I have one too. I think that
technique and your lens are more likely to find you out when you print
large. Nowhere to hide ;-)
Purely on number and quality of pixels, I always got excellent results in
13x19 prints from the M8 with a good lens AND good technique.
