Subject: [Leica] OT--technical question for a friend

If no one has a specific suggestion you might tell him to try (a)
calling the repair people to see if they actually disposed of his old
unit or just stuck it in a back room (guess how I know), or (b) just
go to a Best Buy or Office Depot or such that will have a number of
models and tell the sales person what he needs and they may have
something that will work.
