I used to use flash fairly often, especially for LF and getting sufficient dof for industrial pictures, but it was a lot of work and I usually rented as my needs varied and were often extreme. For 35mm I usually tried to do without, as the amount of work seemed inordinate. But you show, as is usually the case, that simple is good.
