I happen to have an E-mail adress with Google too. In the beginning I suspected something like a virus or so. Don't mix several anti virus systhems on the same machine, because there will be fight between them. Wipe them all out and reinstall the one you prefer. We have a son who pumps all sorts of things on the I-net, going to the limit of the connection whe pay for. You can also have some troubles with your local distribution systhem or centers. It's like a High-Way. When everybody wants to take a car at the same time and hapens to go to the same place, or there is an accident..... It's not a bad idea to restart your PC and reorganise the hard disk(s). Save the contents of your hard disk before doing so. Once in a year our machines go to a competent specialist (a real one) for a complete check. Good luck.
