And the list of those cameras I've typed out a few times. The Minox 35 GT. Or Minox 35s Contax T. Rollei 35m, Olympus XA Those excited me and they excited a lot of people and we used them and blew up the pix in our largest darkroom trays. That fact that they were not cheap did not freak anybody out. A camera with interchangeable glass with a sensor the size of my pinky fingernail absolutely does not turn my head at all. One of those cameras which were so valued by top people in lets say 1980 @ $1000 = $2,786.33 today. The exact price of the Sony CPI Inflation Calculator http://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl?cost1=1000&year1=1980&year2=2012 On 2/3/13 1:19 AM, "Frank Filippone" <red735i at verizon.net> wrote: > Mark.. it is a $2800 camera with a fixed lens. > > You could find a used M8 with 35 Summicron for about the same price.. and > the lens is removeable.... > > Maybe when it is discounted to $1K it will be reasonable, but not now..... > > My $0.02. > > Frank Filippone > Red735i at verizon.net > > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information -- Mark William Rabiner Photography http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/lugalrabs/
