A full frame camera like the D600 is going to top out on iso at 6400 and those shots if they are anything like on the D700 will be more than viable. 1600 for a D700 will be a total quality deal smooth and noiseless. That's where the auto iso topped off with the D200 And D40x cropped cameras I was using a few years ago.
