Me I've shot extensively pro sumer grade Nikon zooms till the cows come home even in the rain and in a waterfall and have posted them extensively to my lug gallery: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/lugalrabs/ Check any of my galleries I think you'll find a third of the pix are from my 24 - 85 G lens which is of the same build as the 24 - 12o if not worse. Probably worse. It feels like plastic and it is plastic ands guess what? I can live with that and shoot with that. A monster Nikon or Leica certainly is not going to drift or feel like plastic in your hands. But the glass and images the mid range Nikon zooms produce are excellent.
