Greg,

The first one looks straight to me, but he second one looks a bit off.

You are braver than me on going outside today, it is only 1 F right now here
in Cedar Rapids, but was -8 this morning, so i did not venture out to the
gym. ;)

Cheers,
Gene

Finally a bit of winter in Chicago. No snow, but plenty of cold. Two
from the windows of 910.

The first (M9-P, 35/1.4/ASPH):

is making me a bit crazy. Know the ice is over-sharpened (for
emphasis); the horizon, though, keeps measuring straight when I
overlay grid lines but looks slightly skewed on-screen. Think it's the
shading from white-grey-blue, but would appreciate someone with
sharper eyes than mine -- or whose bifocals have a newer prescription
than mine -- giving it a look. Happy to send a larger file off list,
if anyone is interested in that much effort.

This is another look at pretty much the same scene shot maybe an hour
or so earlier (M9-P, 75/1.4)

http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gcr910/2013/21+January+2013.jpg.html

The 75/1.4 used took a bounce a week or two back (at least got my foot
under it to cushion some of the shock) and is going in for checking
later this week; seems sharp, but nicked the lens barrel in a few
places and haven't a clue where the red alignment dot for mounting the
lens got to.

Comment. Critique. Tell me how to get 'em right (other than not
dropping a lens, of course). Thanks in advance for feedback and help.

Time now to brave the brisk air.

Greg Rubenstein
