It is certainly worth a visit, but there were so many tourists we left after three days and found an agritourism farm near Lucca to spend the rest of the time, which was wonderful. Another year, we rented the gatekeepers house at a castle in Roncade, not far from Venice. We've also hiked all around the Lake District. We ran into snow in the summer at higher elevations. Reminds me of Golden Trout but with more water! I don't think you can go wrong anywhere in Northern Italy. I would definitely add Lucca to the trip. Have a great trip!
