Leica has more consistent and solid construction from what I've experienced, but the 2 Biogons I have, no doubt Cosina built, are in the Leica class in terms of the images I've been getting. (The 18 ZM Distagon is not.) So, the Zeiss-Cosina team can, at its best, make optics that are really top notch.
