While I can understand a "colorist"
(an artist with a fine color sensibility and the ability to use color
exceptionally well)
demonstrating their ability to create images
as strong or stronger than Robert Mapplethorpe's Flower photographs
It has little to do with understanding Robert Mapplethorpe's decisions and
work
and everything to do with understanding
the colorist's decisions and work.
