I love B&W photography. It *sometimes** *turns a snapshot into art by reducing the content to form and composition which could be a type of caricature but not under the usual definition of oversimplification or satirical content. Unless the photo is flowers, sunsets, sports, or wildlife, I almost always prefer B&W over color. Would Salgado's photos be as effective in color? He is photographing currently and has the choice. I guess we are all different and have different opinions! Standing up for B&W here, surprised to have to do that on a Leica list!
