South Carolina seceded from the Union and the Union occupied Fort Sumter, hence the firing upon the fort by the South and the beginning of the War of Northern Aggression. My son is a Civil War expert and gives lectures on the subject. He knows much more than I do about it. Take one of his tours in Charleston someday! ;-) Tina On Sunday, December 9, 2012, Douglas Barry <imra at iol.ie> wrote: > > "Don Dory" <don.dory at gmail.com> wrote >> >> nasty deaths from smallpox and ebola.
