Too funny. I really cant tell if you're kidding or not but the truth tends
to be stranger than fiction.
I read a big fat with small print Edison biography in which it states he
invented the flashlight as an overt means to waste electricity. He somehow
didn't think it would have any practical use. The joke was on him as of
course they can be life savers and otherwise key pieces of gear. Seems
obsurd that he could be that dumb and smart at the same time but the case
was well made.
What's hot on the streets of NY I've noticed ever since fashion week is
young guys in their early twenties may NYU guys but some from Brooklyn with
DSLR's in the hot shoe of which are LED's. And LED grid. These things are so
cheap and light and efficient on AA's and the sensors in the cameras so
efficient as to really not needing all that much extra light that the
combination is very popular. Gives their pix some pop. In a more
controllable and sublet way then flash. And unlike flash they are seeing
exactly what they're getting as they shoot. Its not just appearing in the
monitor later.
Me I've once or twice used a tiny LED flashlight in my left hand off to the
side. As a kicker. I'll post one. The subject matter are the bikes. Mainly
bikes for messengers on the sidewalks tied up with large chains on the
streets of Manhattan. I'm not that original even all the tourists shoot
those bikes.
The B&H catalog is filled with a large section on compact led flashlights
and battery powered or otherwise grids for lighting. Its a very exciting
revolution for photography.
Though they stay on, they don't flash you'd not call them "hot lights". As
no ones sweating. And the ice cream is not melting. And nothings smelling.

And I won't feel like a real guy until I get an LED light for somewhere in
my apartment. What can I say I'm a light guy. I used to sell Phillips lights
door to door.

My posts next week when I set up my phone will be:

I Like like a.
How R U?!?

The end is in site.
