Although many were also moms and dads, I have known quite a few professionals, and been one myself, and never did I know one that really cared what camera he shot with. Cameras were an investment in business equipment, and history tells us that many different photographers took many good photos with a variety of equipment. The price of Leica cameras and lenses make them a bad business expense for many. The fact that rangefinder cameras have some limitations is another problem. The idea that this began with, that to be a professional and to get good saleable results one could only shoot with a Leica, cannot be supported. Yes, it has long been a serious camera in the hands of some, but in other hands, it is indeed snotty. I guess all camera groups are off to me, since I can shoot and get reasonable results with any of my cameras, Leica, Nikon and Panasonic (!). I'm only sold on the ones I have 'cause they work for me. I have shot a variety of cameras in the past, and all gave acceptable results, to a greater or lesser degree. Its a snarky put down. One does not have to be a Leica "fanboy" to pick that up. I think you should consider that this list has lots of people who find Leica use very realistic and not elitist. It having a long history of big names and happy dads and moms shooting with them. It long being considered a serious not snotty camera. This is reality not fan boy stuff. If you're not into it maybe join a list which involves gear you ARE into.
