I'm hoping to see more like this.

I guess I'm also lucky like Tina. Never had a bad experience with Leica NJ
for service, and all my Leica's have worked just as advertised. If I had to
call them for info on a repair, they always treated me courteously and with
a quick answer. And I am not a pro either. I have found they always over
estimate the time for repair, and in my case it has always taken about half
the time they quoted.

you would have to apply a large number of qualifiers to that to make it
reality.

like maybe "bought current top of the line in the last few months and under
warranty"

like maybe "widley known professional who could embarass them"

i use a Leica as my working camera as a "part-time" professional--there is
no pro program whenever i have asked them about it

my repair experience with Leica is horrible

on my most recent experience, they told me thay couldn't bother with my M8
issues until they took care of the current M9 repairs they had to do
(took 4 months for a simple $400+ CLA)
Within a year of return, the shutter crashed and is not in any way covered
since they did not replace it

i realize i'm not important to them, but their making pretend to give a damn
would be nice
