There are too many times when a long lens is necessary and the Leica can't do it. I have a friend who is a working PJ, and her used two Leica M8's for five or six years along side his Canons. Sold them two or three years ago, as it was for him too much money tied into things that were not universally useful. Do I wish that it were still possible for a PJ with a Leica and a 35 could earn a living? Hell yes, b kSY57sut I would also be happy if newspapers weren?t laying them off all the time, or there were still news magazines. -----Original Message----- From: Frank Filippone Sent: Saturday, December 01, 2012 11:37 PM To: 'Leica Users Group' Subject: Re: [Leica] Cameras Real Pros Use The bottom line from this story seems to be.... If you are a newly minted PJ, and go out and spend your hard earned non-existent extra cash to buy a Leica, the Company could give a hoot if your camera is in the shop and you cannot earn your wages. Sounds like a resoundingly good reason to use a N or C camera. Frank Filippone Red735i at verizon.net > Did the Leica Rep make an offer to supply a backup when yours was in > the shop? Nope!
