Several years ago when I used (briefly) a Canon L lens several people 
e-mailed after seeing the photos on my website and asked "What happened?  
You've lost some color and detail."  There was nothing on the web pages 
indicating the equipment I had used.  Apparently such differences can be 
seen in web-sized jpgs.
