I don't doubt the CMOS 1.5x crop beats the full frame CCD in the M9 in low
light. I'm afraid I'm thinking more about a Leica M the new one a camera I
would love to buy and use more more than the M9 from day one. And its CMOS
full frame should beat the pants off a cmos crop and with Leica glass that
certainly clinches it.
Never the less I doubt I'd buy a 7 thousand dollar Leica body an M9 and
leave it at home while heading out on the road. Leave it at home with my
Leica glass so I can shoot some new prosumer here today gone tomorrow toy
which is what? A bit lighter? I'm more interested the images in my body of
work than playing with new toys every time I climb into my car for a road
trip.
What happens when I'm confronted with a truly astounding photo opportunity
and I have a Fuji in my hand and a 7000 dollar Leica at home in a closet?
I'd call that a nightmare I'd want to wake up from.
