What is "Specifically the new micro lens configuration with shallower photosites." And will CMOS produce a less-sharp image while yielding a higher ISO? Liveview, video, EVF, focus peaking, R lens functionality, weather sealing, better LCD, bigger buffer and 50% faster frame rate. Maestro processor, higher ISO, much higher battery capacity/life. No one has a production camera as yet of course, but to me the potentially largest improvement may come from the different architecture of the new custom sensor. Specifically the new micro lens configuration with shallower photosites. If it performs as announced this may reduce or eliminate all of the firmware corrections (vignetting, "red" edges) that proved necessary with M wides in particular, Cheers, Geoff http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman On 24 November 2012 06:14, jon.streeter <jon.streeter at cox.net> wrote: > Years ago, a sales person told me about a conversation he'd had with a > Leica rep.
