Funny, though I got my private pilot's license in 1963 or thereabouts and had been shooting photographs from much earlier, I had not known what shutter speed to use for propellers. Of course, when shooting sailplanes, that's not usually a consideration (except for self-launching or powered sailplanes of course). Can you believe we're trusting our lives to flying machines older than we are?! -----Original Message----- From: Adam Bridge Sent: Wednesday, November 14, 2012 10:04 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: [Leica] IMG: Beech Staggerwing <http://adam-bridge.smugmug.com/gallery/25483361_MjsNJ5#!i=2215376692&k=dRsVT9k> She's an old girl and drools a little but she's had some recent Work done and seems all the better for it. I'm told she's flown regularly but I have never seen her in the the air. If I knew when she was about to fly I'd be there like Doug Herr at Hawk Hill during the migration!
