Now if I only had a M9 or newer M. ;)  Mine is the Titanium version and 
works just fine on my M8, without the codes.

Some pre-asph 35 Summilux lenses have a guard on the rear part of the
lens barrel that stops the lens working properly on the digital Ms
with their narrower throat.  Leica won't, but again an independent
repairer can grind this off so it works.  There is a code for the 11
869, 11 870 and 11 860 35 Summiluxes in the M9 and Monochrom menus,
but it doesn't seem that a six-bit code was assigned.  Maybe someone
clever could figure out if there is a code that activates the profile
from the menu.
