[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Assuming that the lens which you are mysteriously not mentioning on your Shenhao 617 is not a complete piece of moldy fungus ridden garbage an image on a 45 pieces of film does not look less sharp than one with medium format. It is but you not think so by sight even with a very good loupe. It look is quite impressive which just jumps out at you. Sure large format glass resolves less that medium format glass but that fact that its bigger just makes your socks being knocked off. The less times it needs to be enlarged on paper well makes up for the very slight lack of resolution on the film itself. What other variables are there? Tripod with cable release? Focusing how? Subject matter low contrast? What film are you using?
