Google sez, from Oakland to Bishop:

7 hours 23 minutes via Yosemite
8 hours 9 minutes via Mojave (the southern route)
9 hours 12 minutes via South Lake Tahoe

I've done all three routes. Pick your poison. You can trim a little bit
off of the Lake Tahoe route depending what passes you take (I was being
google lazy choosing way points); it takes you down through Bridgeport and
Lee Vining and .... On the other hand the southern route brings you up
through Independence and Lone Pine and past Manzanar.

I'm heading for Lee Vining, Bishop, etc.... tomorrow via Yosemite.

With a borrowed M9 as my only camera (no pressure now, is there?).
