that's roughly 1/15 or 1/8 at 1250 and 3.5 - depending on the IOS it  
might have worked ...

Not always, but requires several flash units - a friend of mine does  
this with spectacular results in unlit caves but it requires another  
type of gear, and a fairly good physical condition ...
