I typically catalogue my MM images in LR, do initial edits (minor rotation, cropping, unsharp masking for tonal separation [not sharpening]) in PS, then finish in SFX. It's seamless, particularly if your computer is really fast (although my laptop is not). I am sure if I knew LR well enough PS may be unnecessary, but I need PS for other tasks anyway, and I am too lazy to learn . The U-point technology in SFX pro is amazing, and allows much better and more intuitive (for me - it's just like working in the darkroom but I waste less paper and chemistry, and it can be undone) control of local tonality than using layers in PS. I am still trying to figure out why the same image files look different in LR and PS, but I'll get there.
