I have been adjusting most of my MM shots to look like Agfa film in Rodinal or Beutlers on Brovira or Portrig (but without the nasty greeny-browns I always fought against with that paper). There is a sentimental side of me that would prefer them to look like Plus-X or medium format Tri-X in D75 1+1 on Elite or the original Galerie, but other than in exceptional light the files are less amenable to that look, and can start to appear to have a strange, unnatural tonality if forced. This look is lovely, and the camera does it easily, so I'm happy with it. Like attempting to use HC110 and Tri-X Pro, if something doesn't work, I don't care what people (or their heroes) tell me, I just don't do it. Plenty more soon.
