In some ways sure its harder to focus a wide on a groundglass if its slow. On the other hand by the fact that it is a wide makes for more depth of field even wide open and precise focusing a tad less necessary. I'm a big fan of not jacking up the cost and size of optics to fit marketing peoples idea of what will sell. What sells to me can easily be a slow sharp as hell compact light weight thimble of a lens. http://www.imx.nl/photo/zeiss/zeiss/page67.html Mark William Rabiner Photography http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/lugalrabs/ > From: Tarek Charara <tcharara at mac.com> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Date: Sat, 29 Sep 2012 17:36:26 +0200 > To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Subject: Re: [Leica] Is macro at 35mm focal length sensible? > > The 35/1.4 is truly difficult to focus, but the f4???
